Competitors just glue pre-made FRP flat sheets onto the door
perimeter with an adhesive. While Tiger Hides™
are fusion-laminated using proprietary press-molding technology
to become an integral part of the Tiger Door physiology.
The Tiger Door™ body starts
with a high-modulus pultruded FRP tubular backbone. This structural
rail and stile subframe provides a large portion of Tiger
Door's tremendous endurance.
Tiger Hides begin with the application of an "in-mold" tough
satin textured color gelcoat skin. Chopped strand glass-fiber
mat forms the connective tissue, followed by a muscular knitted
3-layer oriented strand glass-fiber structural reinforcement.
This BI-directional reinforcing further enhances Tiger Door's
great strength and power.
Finally, the raw Tiger Hides are simultaneously fused onto
both faces and all the edges of the door under heat and pressure
until cured-not only to the backbone, but to the entire phenolic
impregnated honeycomb core skeleton as well-completing the
Tiger Door's potent anatomy. The result is a seamless, vigorous
physique of incredible stamina. |
